Slow RSS notifications

RSS is a pull technology. I have to fetch RSS feeds for you (even they might not contain new entries), and I do it every 20 minutes. I can not do it with a smaller interval as some servers block me when I do (meaning my server IPs are banned forever). You can not force an update from the iPhone app neither.

I also support the PubSubHubbub technology, a PUSH technology for RSS feeds. This deliver instant notifications for new RSS entries, about 30% of the feeds I currently fetch support this. I'm looking at a way to display push enabled feeds from the iPhone application.

I'm looking at a way to update faster than 20 minutes for popular feeds (feeds with many users), hoping servers will not block my servers.
